Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the International Scientific Committee and the Local Organizing Committee of ICBA2019, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to all of you for your participation and contribution at this congress. Because of your dedication and support, we could bring this event to a successful conclusion.

There were 6 plenary lectures, 40 symposia and 150 oral and poster presentations, attended by about 300 registrants from 35 countries. We are pleased to report that a large number of participants came from East Asian countries, in contrast with previous events, when the majority of participants came from Europe and the US.

We also wish to express our gratitude to the individuals, hospitals and clinics, foundations, pharmaceutical companies, and the city of Yokohama, for their financial support, and our colleagues at the Kurihama Medical and Addiction Center, friends and family for their dedication and support of this congress.

Once again, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all participants - you travelled from near and far, and your presence and contribution was greatly valued.

We hope to see you again in Nottingham, UK in June 2020.
